Its massive walls and towers, which once protected the kingdom from its enemies, now entice visitors with breathtaking views and mysterious stories. The charm and atmosphere of the Slavkov Forest in the background make a visit to Loket in winter an unforgettable experience. <strong>The castle is open every day from 9 am to 4 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheb Castle: stories from the times of the emperors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The imprints of history can be felt at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrad-cheb.cz\/cz\/\">Cheb Castle<\/a>\u00a0literally at every step. Cheb Castle is famous not only for its history, but also as the only place in the Czech Republic with <strong>the original Stauff imperial phalanx<\/strong> founded by Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa. However, due to the war in the 18th century, only the torso of the palace and the Romanesque fortress with the mighty defensive Black Tower and the unique Romanesque-Gothic chapel have survived.<\/p>\n<p>This castle is open even in winter and offers visitors the opportunity to enter a time when this place resonated not only with the stories of famous royal weddings, but also with the dark shadows associated with murder. From November to the end of March, <strong>Cheb Castle operates<\/strong> in winter mode, during which the castle grounds are open only on weekends, <strong>always from 10am to 3pm<\/strong>.
