Along the way, you will pass numerous attractions, including castles, châteaux and the Svatoš Rocks rock town. The proximity of the Ore Mountains, with modern ski resorts and a network of hiking trails, is another valuable asset of the region.

Discover the beauty of glass and porcelain

The traditions of glassmaking and porcelain production are inseparably associated with the Karlovy Vary Region, as is the production of the famous herbal liqueur. Then do not hesitate to visit the Moser Glassworks, the Thun 1794 porcelain manufactory and the Jan Becher Museum as part of the Fabrik Tour – Porcelain & Glass & Liqueur.

Disarming nature

Put on your sports shoes and head, for example, to the Kladská Peat Bogs Nature Reserve, with its educational trail running along corduroy roads, or to the Soos Nature Reserve, which resembles Iceland thanks to its lunar landscape and numerous mineral spring outlets.

Down into the mine

The mysterious Ore Mountains offer countless hiking trails and a unique mining landscape inscribed on the UNESCO list. You can admire the mining tradition in one of the accessible adits, such as the Mauritius Mine in Hřebečná, the Johannes Adit near Boží Dar or Adit No. 1 in Jáchymov.
