This name refers to a section of the second-highest railway line in the Czech Republic, specifically the stretch between Nejdek and Pernink.

Over a distance of 15 kilometres, the train climbs an elevation difference of 365 metres and crosses an impressive stone viaduct in Pernink.

This elevation is overcome thanks to three tunnels and the Nové Hamry loop, where the train turns in the opposite direction along a curve with a radius of 180 metres, reaching an altitude of 915 metres between the Pernink and Oldřichov stops.
