Test the durability of your mountain bike on forest trails for beginners and hardcore riders alike.

You can test the durability of both your mountain bike and your joints at the trail parks in the Karlovy Vary Region. Trail Park Klínovec, with its network of forest trails, is suitable for beginners and hardcore riders alike. The trails are divided into three difficulty levels: Azure – ten kilometres, Ruby – eight kilometres and Baron – six kilometres. Beginners can first practise on off-road bumps or a pump track and improve their skills at skill centres at the starting points. The bravest riders will certainly enjoy the three-kilometre downhill section called “Downhill”. The Prima Express four-seat chairlift will take you back to the start of the downhill trails. Enjoy the ultimate off-road and nature riding experience, with bikes also available for hire locally.

Trail Park Plešivec was created under the direction of Michal Prokop, a three-time four-cross world champion. The flow trails are served by a chairlift, and you can choose from three difficulty levels with a total length of 28.5 km. Visitors can use catering services, bike and equipment rental, bicycle servicing and accommodation at the very top of Plešivec.

Another option is the Boží Trail in Boží Dar. It is a groomed championship four-cross track that hosted Czech Cup four-cross mountain bike races in 2004 and 2005. The track begins below the Boží vyhlídka lookout tower. Beginners and advanced bikers alike will enjoy riding its berms, jumps and tabletops. The finish line is on the ski slope behind Prague.

The newest of all trail parks in the Karlovy Vary Region is currently GOEtrail. This new trail route, leading from Goethe’s Lookout, opened in spring 2024. GOEtrail is designed to be enjoyable for both experienced riders and recreational cyclists. The route offers easier alternatives and opportunities to avoid more demanding obstacles.
