A pilgrimage site with a Way of the Cross and meditation garden can be found approximately eight kilometres south of Cheb, in Starý Hrozňatov.
The Loreto Chapel with cloisters and the pilgrimage Church of the Holy Spirit have stood here since the 17th century, when they were built by the Jesuits of Cheb. During communism, the site fell into decline, but in the 1990s a Czech-German association of believers restored it, transforming a semi-ruined site into an important place of reconciliation and meeting. Today, pilgrims and tourists from around the world gather here for both Czech and German masses.
