The 17th-century Capuchin monastery, where beer is brewed and concerts are held, can be found in the town of Sokolov, not far from the right bank of the Ohře River.
Your walk through the complex will be enlivened by several convent buildings grouped around a square cloister courtyard. The main attraction is the Church of St Anthony of Padua, with a crypt where fifty-two members of the Nostic family were buried until 1932. The monastery was dissolved in the 1950s and occupied by the Czechoslovak Army, after which it served as a warehouse. Following reconstruction, it is once again open to the public.
