At first glance, this modest church with an all-timber-frame structure, set in the fascinating Jáchymov landscape, conceals several remarkable treasures.

These include an altar from the workshop of Lucas Cranach dating from 1520, an original all-wood roof truss and a bell from the same year, valuable tombstones and a Calvary sculptural group by Dresden sculptor Christoph Walther from 1544. It is one of the oldest churches of its type in the western Ore Mountains, and you can view its interior by prior arrangement or during cultural events.
