The Karlovy Vary Region is not just a spa. In addition to plenty of mineral springs, there are also perfect golf courses. The first one was built as early as 1904 and today there are nine of them in the Karlovy Vary Region, seven of which are even eighteen-hole courses. We’ll introduce you to the best of them, so grab your bag and go!

Golf Resort Karlovy Vary

The Golf Resort Karlovy Vary is just 5 km from the city centre. It is one of the oldest resorts in Central Europe, but has recently undergone extensive renovation. The 18-hole hilly course often hosts major European tournaments and, in addition to golf, you can also enjoy a meal in the restaurant or relax in the relaxation centre.

Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně

The course was inaugurated in 1905 by King Edward VII of England and in 2003 the club was granted the right to use the title of Royal Golf Club by the decision of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. The eighteen-hole flat course is surrounded by woodland, making it pleasant to play even on hot summer days.  The surrounding countryside is not disturbed by buildings, offering beautiful views of the countryside.

Golf Resort Františkovy Lázně

The eighteen-hole course was opened in 2002. It is situated in the beautiful landscape of a protected natural area in Hazlov near Františkovy Lázně. The generous course with its varied terrain is sensitively placed in the surrounding landscape, surrounded by forests, natural ponds and habitats. In inclement weather, you can also use the indoor driving range, putting and chipping green.

Golf Resort Cihelny

About 5 km outside Karlovy Vary, in the valley of the Teplá River, you will find the Cihelny Golf Resort. The championship eighteen-hole course attracts visitors with its many water areas and a number of natural and modelled obstacles. In addition to golf, you will appreciate the excellent food in the local restaurant and relaxation in the spa and wellness centre, which offers massages, saunas, jacuzzi, swimming pool and fitness.

Golf Club Kynžvart

The golf complex is located in the historic castle park and was designed by the famous golf designer Christoph Städler. The eighteen-hole course is one of the most beautiful in the region, each hole has its own name and an interesting story attached to it. In addition to golf, you can also enjoy a meal in the restaurant or clubhouse. If you want to teach golf to your children, the Kynžvart Golf Club offers children’s courses, camps and memberships.

Golf & Racing Club Karlovy Vary

Interesting golf experiences await all visitors to the Golf & Racing Club Karlovy Vary, which was built in the backdrop of an ancient racecourse grandstand and offers a very high quality course almost in the centre of the spa town. It is atypical in that it has eighteen holes with nine tees, which means that when playing the standard 18 holes, the player plays each hole twice, but on completely different greens.

Golf Sokolov

In 2006, another golf resort appeared on the map of western Bohemia, right in the centre of the spa triangle. The modern 18-hole course promises a perfect golf experience for every professional and amateur alike. From the monotonous lunar landscape of the former lignite mine, a course has been built which, with its parameters, appearance and quality, wants to be one of the golf jewels among the championship courses in the Czech Republic. You will also find water obstacles and biozones, which contribute to the visual and game variety.
